Jonathan Barca began in music as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Halfwait, an Australian three-piece rock band. Years of writing, recording, releasing and performing independent music developed his understanding of creative identity, audience connection, storytelling and independent creative development.
Halfwait built an alternative rock identity and catalogue rooted in independence — the same philosophy that would eventually inform the creation of LML.
Live My Life
Halfwait's Live My Life became more than the title of a song. Its themes of independence, self-direction and creative ownership became part of the philosophy that eventually informed the creation of LML Clothing by Halfwait.

Jonathan established LML Clothing by Halfwait in 2022 — a natural evolution of the creative identity established through Halfwait, rather than an unrelated commercial venture.
His role spans Creative Direction, Brand Development, Product Development, Streetwear, Footwear, Manufacturing Relationships, Wholesale Strategy and International Distribution Infrastructure.

Jonathan's role within fashion developed beyond simply designing clothing. Through LML Clothing and subsequently LML Wholesale Clothing, he built relationships and infrastructure across the international textiles and apparel industry.
LML operates through relationships with manufacturing and supply-chain partners across major international textile and manufacturing regions — emphasising infrastructure, relationships and long-term capability.

Footwear .
A premium chapter dedicated to Jonathan's footwear development — luxury Italian-made footwear created through collaboration with an established heritage footwear company in Italy.
His creative involvement spans Design Direction, Silhouette Selection, Materials, Colourways, Brand Identity, Product Positioning, Prototype Development and Collection Development.
LML's footwear development continues to expand across different product categories and manufacturing capabilities.

LML Records is an independent record label extending the musical identity of the LML creative ecosystem.
Jonathan's role: Producer, Label Manager, Creative Director — exploring contemporary electronic music including Electronic, House, Deep House, Drum & Bass, Electro and alternative electronic music.
Music created the identity. Fashion gave it physical form. Infrastructure gave it scale. LML Records brought it back to sound.
